The island nation of Singapore is a marvel indeed, where ultra modern architecture like the Jewel can coexist with a plethora of animals and birds at the Singapore Zoo and Jurong Bird Park respectively along with some scrumptious Singaporean food along the way. From the beginning, Singapore Zoo followed the modern trend of displaying animals in naturalistic, ‘open’ exhibits with hidden barriers, moats, and glass between the animals and visitors. It houses the largest captive colony of orangutans in the world.
