PETA gives Hathaway calf as wedding gift

Actress Anne Hathaway has been presented with a calf from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals [PETA] for opting for a vegetarian menu at her wedding with actor Adam Shulman.
Hathaway, 29, tied the knot with actor Adam Shulman,31, 29 September in a private ceremony in California and had vegetable dishes for the guests.
PETA has sponsored a calf named Peter for the actress for her actions, reports contactmusic.com.
‘By going vegan, Anne is doing the best thing that she can to better her health and save calves like Peter from a life of suffering. Anne is living proof of vegans,’ said Tracy Reiman, executive vice president, PETA.
