Pep Guardiola rules out Barca return in future

Former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has said he has no intention of returning to coach the club. Guardiola, who is now at Bayern Munich, assured he would not be back in the dugout of the club where he grew as a player and had four successful years as coach.

‘In principle, I will not coach Barcelona again. I think there are cycles in life and my cycle there has finished,’ said the 43-year-old. Between 2008 and 2012, Guardiola led Barca to three Primera Liga titles, two Champions League trophies, two King’s Cups, the Spanish Supercup on three occasions, as well as two European Supercups and two World Club Championship titles, and during that time Barca were considered perhaps the best club side in the history of the game. Although he ruled out a return to manage the club, Guardiola said he would one day return to live in the city. ‘My wife has work there and the idea is to stay and live here. When will that be? I don’t know,’ he admitted.
