Passengers to get refund if Metro is disrupted for more than 20 mins

Metro Railway authorities will refund money to the commuters with smart cards if Metro service gets disrupted and hold passenger for more than 20 minutes.

Metro Railway authorities have already instructed all the station managers to implement the rule whereby the commuters will get back the money if the metro service suddenly gets affected. Passengers who had entered a particular station by swiping their cards will be refunded if they fail to avail the service due to some reasons.

The decision was taken after the Metro railway authorities found that the money is often deducted from the smart card but the commuters fail to avail the service.

A senior official of the Metro railway said that a rule is there for the same but it is not followed.

As a result of which passengers fail to get their deducted money back from the smart card.

All the station managers and senior officials have been instructed to implement the rule. People commuting from Metro railways have welcomed the move.
