Panel set up to examine age issue in nursery admission

Delhi government on Thursday decided to set up a committee to examine the ‘age’ issue of nursery admission for the academic session 2014-15. ‘We will not review the decision as the admission process will begin from January 1. But we have decided to examine it for the academic year 2014-15,’ education minister Kiran Walia. The minimum age for admission into nursery classes for 2013-14 is three years while maximum was fixed at three years 11 months and 30 days as on 30 March. For admission into kindergarten, the minimum age was fixed at four years while maximum was kept at four years 11 months and 30 days.
