Pak Section at Police Bhawan upgraded

To improve services provided to Pakistan nationals, Special Branch of Delhi Police renovated the Pak Section at Police Bhawan in Asaf Ali Road on Thursday.

Everyday, approximately 100 to 150 Pakistan visitors (monthly 3000/4000 Pak nationals) avail the services provided by the Special Branch. According to senior police officials, there was an urgent need to upgrade the Pak Section to make it more user-friendly and to improve its clientèle services.

The Pak Section of Special Branch deal with Registration, Extension of Long Term Visas (LTV), deportation, surveillance, monitoring of movement of visitors and other related services.

“This is another initiative of Special Branch of Delhi Police after the introduction of online issuance of Police Clearance Certificates,” said Garima Bhatnagar, Joint Commissioner of Police (Special Branch).

During the programme, Delhi Police Commissioner  B S Bassi asked the Special Branch to continue with their good work and further improve their collection of intelligence through better public interaction.
