Outraged candidates stage protests as Railway exam gets cancelled

Candidates who came to appear in Railway examinations at various centers across North 24-Parganas staged demonstration at the examination centers after they were told that the railway examination would not be conducted. The candidates coming from various districts and also from outside the states staged demonstration to protest against the incident. Tension spread at an examination centre at New Town after the candidates put up demonstration and raised slogans. They demanded that the examination should be conducted. A bank examination was also scheduled to take place here at the New Town centre. The centre authorities told the candidates that the bank examination will take place but not the Railway examination. The candidates alleged that the examination was cancelled without any prior notice. Many of the candidates who came from far off areas expressed their dissatisfaction after the cancellation of the examination.
