‘Output of Delhi workers 30.44% higher than national figure’

Chief minister Sheila Dikshit on Friday released the Report on Annual Survey of Industries for the year 2010-2011 according to which the output of workers in Delhi is 30.44 per cent higher than the national figure.
The total output during 2010 to 2011 was Rs 48,687 crore, against Rs 42,359 crore in 2009-10. Sheila Dikshit said, ‘Delhi has 2,878 working factory units in the organised sector, which is only 1.67 per cent of the all-India figure.
The average per employee emolument is also 11.44 per cent higher than all-India figures for the year 2010-11.’ The report is released by the directorate of economics and statistics, government of Delhi.
