The Supreme Court on Friday ordered that status quo be maintained with respect to the 350 acres of land at Wazirabad in Gurgaon that Haryana government had decided to allot to DLF in 2010.
A bench headed by Chief Justice H L Dattu issued notices to the parties on whose petition the Punjab and Haryana High Court had set aside the state government’s decision to allot the land to DLF. The apex court passed the order on DLF’s plea challenging the High Court’s decision.
The high court in its 3 September, 2014, order had also directed Haryana government to conduct an auction of the land in question by inviting international bids within a month.
