Oprah Winfrey earns $12 mn for one tweet

Popular TV host Oprah Winfrey has raked in $12 million in American company Weight Watchers’ shares for posting a tweet about losing weight while still eating bread. The 61-year-old media mogul is a shareholder in Weight Watchers.

After she posted a short video message about being able to lose 26 pounds, while still eating bread, shares in the weight loss brand, of which she owns $6 million, increased by 18 per cent, or around $ 2.10 per share, within an hour, according to Market Watch, reported Female First.

The multi-million dollar tweet shared a video link alongside a message, which read: “Eat bread. Lose weight.Whaatt? #ComeJoinMe (sic)”  In the 30-second clip, Winfrey said: “I lost 26 pounds, and I have eaten bread every single day.”
