Operations at IGI normal

Flight operations at the Indira Gandhi International Airport remained normal for the second consecutive day on Sunday even as the airport witnessed moderate fog.

There was fog at the airport since last night, which became shallow in the morning but as the visibility remained good there was no effect on the flight operations, which remained normal, an airport official said.

Though there were four cancellations, it was due to operational reasons and there was no delay or cancellations due to fog at Delhi, he said. Yesterday, only one flight was delayed due to weather at Delhi while 15 others due to operational reasons and bad weather at destination and five others were cancelled due to the same reason.

The airport witnessed shallow fog from 8.30 pm last night but the visibility remained above 2,000 metres on main runway.
