ONGC subsidiary MRPL wins top award for the fifth time

ONGC subsidiary Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) has won a prestigious award for the fifth consecutive times, an official said. Federation Of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FKCCI) conferred the Best Exporter award for 2013-14 in the medium/large category to MRPL in recognition of its Rs 35,392 crore worth of exports for the period.
The award was received by Vijay G Joshi, Director Refinery, MRPL along with Vijay Bhatnagar, GGM (Mktg), MRPL, from Siddaramiah, Chief Minister of Karnataka at the State Export Excellence Awards ceremony recently at Banquet Hall, Vidhana Soudha, Bengaluru. This award has been won by MRPL for the 5th consecutive time. The company earned this honour before in 2009-10, 2010-11, 2011-2012 and 2012-2013.
