One more held in Shrinu murder case

Police have arrested John Francis from Kharagpur on Saturday morning in connection with the murder of S Shrinivas Naidu alias Shrinu. With this the police have altogether arrested eight persons in this connection.

The accused was remanded in 4 days police custody after being produced before a district court. Police said that the blueprint of the murder was chalked out at his house situated near the Abhijatri club where the crime had taken place.

Police came to know in the investigation that the accused met at his house where money was distributed among the accused for committing the crime.

On the basis of certain information, the investigating officers raided the CME workshop of railways situated at Kharagpur and arrested the accused.

Police came to know that the accused was one of the masterminds and hatched the blueprint on how the crime would be carried out. They also came to know that two of the four meetings to kill him were chalked in a neighbouring state. Police said that Shrinu, who was a mafia earlier, had many rivals. It is suspected that all the rivals conspired together to kill him.
