One more bookie held in IPL spot-fixing case

Another bookie has been arrested in connection with the IPL spot-fixing case, the thirtiesth so far, Delhi police said on Monday.
‘Chandresh Jain alias Jupiter was arrested from Jaipur on Sunday morning. He was presented before a court in the evening in Delhi which has sent him to police custody for five days. This is the 30th arrest in the case,’ special commissioner of police (special cell) S N Srivastava said.

Delhi police had recently named underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and Chhota Shakeel in its charge sheet filed in the spot-fixing case.
In the 6000-page long charge sheet, Delhi Police also named Rajasthan Royals players S Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan among 39 others as accused in the scandal unearthed during IPL 6.

Of the 29 people arrested before Jupiter, 21 are on bail including Sreesanth and Chavan, while eight others, including Chandila are still in judicial custody.
Sreesanth, Chavan and Chandila were arrested by Delhi police from Mumbai on 16 May.
