One killed, two injured in blast

A man was killed and two others were injured after an explosion took place inside an abandoned godown at Sujapur area in Malda on Monday, police said. 

According to the preliminary investigation, police suspect that victims were making crude bombs inside the godown when the bombs exploded. 

Haren Seikh (35) sustained burn injuries and was declared brought dead after being taken to Malda Medical College and Hospital. Sahibul Seikh, who was critically injured in the blast, has been undergoing treatment at the Malda Medical College and Hospital, while another injured Nazibul Islam was shifted to a city hospital as his condition deteriorated.
