One killed in Thane building collapse

At least one person was killed and 15 injured early on Thursday when a two-storeyed building collapsed in Maharashtra’s Bhiwandi town, police said.
Building No. 14 at Arihant Complex in Narpoli area came crashing down around 1.15 a.m. Thursday, said investigating officer Ramesh Patil of Narpoli police station. Around two dozen people managed to escape, while 15 were rescued and admitted to various hospitals for treatment, Patil added. The dead man has been identified as Lal Mohammed, 28, an employee of a garment factory, Patil said.
