One arrested for murder

An accused in the murder of Kurukshetra university students’ union president Virender Singh, who was shot dead last year, was arrested from Gurgaon, police said on Tuesday. This is the fourth arrest in the case.
‘Ajay Kumar, one of the main accused in the murder in the university campus was arrested from Delhi’s Najafgarh area,’ Gurgaon police commissioner K K Sindhu said. The arrest was carried out by the crime branch of the Gurgaon police. Ajay, a resident of Kheri Shekhoan village in Haryana is main accused Vijay Kumar’s brother. ‘Ajay was also studying in Kurukshetra university and because of a feud, he along with the others shot dead Singh on 17 October last year,’ Sindhu added.
