OBC tries to create awareness on banking codes

Oriental Bank of Commerce, a leading public sector bank has a total business mix of more than Rs 2,71,000.00 crore (as on 30.06.2012). The Bank has a branch network of 1794 branches, 14 extension counters and 1292 ATMs all over India.

A Town Hall meeting was convened on Friday to create awareness about BCSBI (The Banking Codes and Standard Board of India) amongst customers. The programme was attended by A C Mahajan (Chairman-BCSBI), Narayanan Raja (CEO-BCSBI), M Rajeshwar Rao (Banking Ombudsman, Delhi), S L Bansal (CMD, Oriental Bank of Commerce), S C Sinha (E D, Oriental Bank of Commerce), V Kannan (E D, Oriental Bank of Commerce) (in picture above) and other senior   officials of the Bank apart from 150 customers of the Bank. 

While deliberating upon the important role of BCSBI in connection with providing best services by the Bank to their customers, S L Bansal, CMD of the Bank informed the gathering that in this direction the bank has recently taken some new initiatives including waiver of NEFT charges upto 1 lakh, customisation of retail credit products with loyalty benefit i.e. additional concession in the rate of interest to existing customers and reducing rate of interest in export credit etc. 

The programme was attended by customers of various segments from Delhi, Ghaziabad and Gurgaon and was appreciated at all levels.

The customers raised their queries about BCSBI Code, Banking Ombudsman Scheme and various Banking products of OBC.
