Number of factories, value of output rise

The national Capital saw around 13.7 per cent growth in its factory output, which employs at around 1.26 lakh workers, mostly in the areas of leather, textile and apparel manufacturing, wholesale and retail trade among others in the 2012-13 period.
The report on ‘Annual Survey of Industries’, released by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday, says that the number of working factories have also increased from 2,976 in 2011-12 to 3,183 in 2012-13. With a rise in their number, <g data-gr-id="10">total</g> number of employees working in these factories increased from 1.19 lakh to 1.26 lakh in the same period.
