NTPC Talcher station leads in power generation this fiscal

The Talcher Thermal Power Station of NTPC Ltd has topped the list of the company’s power stations in various parts of the country in terms of plant load factor (PLF) during the current fiscal till October 31, 2012.The power station in Angul district of Odisha generated 2194.83 million units (MU) with a PLF of 92.90 per cent during the period from April to October, 2012.
Meanwhile, the 460 MW plant achieved a monthly generation of 351.098 MU with a PLF of 102.59 per cent in October, 2012. This has surpassed the previous best monthly output of 350.422 MU, achieved in January, 2011.Talcher general manager Anuttam Chaudhuri has congratulated the employees for this outstanding performance.
