NTPC, Korba, downs curtains on Hindi Fortnight with language symposium

Hindi Fortnight came to an end at NTPC’s 2600-MW Korba power station in Chhattisgarh with a symposium on Rajbhasha. Delivering the keynote address, Daneshwar Sharma, chairman, Chhattisgarhi Rajbhasha Aayog, stressed upon adopting simpler and sweet words in Hindi to make the language more acceptable among the technology-oriented professionals.

Sharma also launched a Power Glossary brought out for power professionals on this occasion. Winners of various competitions held to promote Rajbhasha throughtout the fortnight were awarded during the function.

Later, S K Roy, general manager, NTPC Korba felicitated the veteran linguist. The fortnight had kickstarted with an Akhil Bharatiya Kavi Sammelan on 1 September. P K Dave, AGM [O&M], R K Smantray, AGM [Finance], K Lingaiah, AGM [HR], V K Singh, CMO and others were present on this occasion.
