NTPC-Bongaigaon distributes free assistive aids to differently disabled

Under the aegis of Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club under Accessible Indiacampaign, a free distribution camp of Assistive Aids was organized for the differently disabled persons on Yuesday at NTPC Bongaigaon. Altogether 67 no of beneficiaries from nearby villages hadbeen identified in an Identification camp organized in association with ALIMCO, Guwahati on19 th September, 2016.  

The beneficiaries were distributed with assistive devices like Tricycle,Hearing Aid and batteries, Blind Stick, Walking Stick, Smart Cane for visually impaired, SmartPhone Screen Reader, Rolator device, Elbow crutch etc. Shri Utpal Chakrabarti, Group General Manager, NTPC Bongaigaon, Smt. Nandini Chakrabarti,President, Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club and other senior officials of NTPC and Ladies Clubdistributed the aids among the people. 

Speaking on the occasion Shri Utpal Chakrabarty said thathe was very happy on seeing the response of the local community and assured them more suchcamps will be organized in the near future. He said that CSR has been an integral part of NTPC’sbusiness of power generation.
