NSE, Muthoot tie up for PG certificate course

Leading bourse National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Thursday entered into a partnership with Muthoot Securities to offer a Post-graduate Certificate in Financial Sector Management (PGC-FSM). NSE officials said PGC-FSM is a six-month weekend programme, divided into two semesters with three papers per semester, offered by NSE. Classes will be held at Muthoot Management Academy (MMA), the training centre of the Muthoot Group located at Thripunithura, near here. “The PGC-FSM is especially aimed at the aspiring BFSI managers who wish to make a difference by becoming competent value creators in the industry. “The programme has an innovative framework and imparts relevant conceptual and functional models that help candidates build a successful career in financial services industry,” an NSE release said. Retail participation in equities is increasing in Kerala, which is among the top 10 states in terms of investments in stock markets. NSE’s Chief of Business Development Ravi Varanasi and Managing Director, Muthoot Group, George Alexander announced the agreement at an event here. Muthoot Securities Ltd is the stock broking vertical of the Muthoot Group.
