Now one must be a Class VIII-pass to contest Panchayat polls in Raj!

To contest Panchayat elections in Rajasthan, now it is mandatory that the person should be at least cleared his/her Class VIII examinations. Rajasthan government on Saturday implemented a provision related to minimum educational qualification for contesting panchayat polls in the state. Governor Kalyan Singh approved the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj (Second Amendment) Ordinance-2014, said an official release.
