Now, cold winds add to the chill

Near freezing temperature coupled with high-speed cold winds blowing from the Himalayas on Monday made Delhi and NCR shiver like never before. According to weathermen, the maximum wind speed on Monday was two points higher than maximum wind speed on Sunday.

According to weathermen, Hindon on Delhi-Ghaziabad border recorded lowest minimum temperature at -0.1 degree Celsius followed by Gurgaon at 0.6 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature at Safdarjung which is taken as standard for Delhi, however, improved from 1.9 degree to 2.4 degree Celsius on Monday which was five points below normal.
