Notice to farmhouse owners for illegal construction in Noida

As per the report, the authority had served notice to farmhouse owners saying ‘Despite NGT’s order on banning construction at river bed, you are violating the norms.’ Sources in the authority say that the move comes ahead of NGT’s hearing on the matter next week.
‘We have served notices to 63 farm house owner on the direction of NGT order. Construction work can not be allowed in river bed area,’ said Rajesh Prakash, Additional Chief Ececutive Officer of the authority.
Last year, the authority had served demolition notices to all farmhouse owners who were involved in construction activities. The farm house owners approached NGT against notices. But the green tribunal had directed Noida and Ghaziabad authority to keep a check on the construction works along the river beds.
