Nothing heals like music!
Ustad Mushtaq Ali Khan (UMAK) Festival is an initiative by Pandit Debu Chaudhuri and Prateek Chaudhuri to aid the ‘Out Cancer Foundation’. In this initiative, UMAK Centre for Culture is presenting a two-days festival with soulful Sitar Recital by Pandit Debu Chaudhuri and Pandit Prateek Chaudhuri. Pandit Debu Chaudhuri is an Internationally renowned Sitar Maestro and is also a Padma Bhushan awardee.
Also the festival would feature Santoor Jugalbandi concert by internationally acclaimed Santoor Maestro Pandit Bhajan Sopori, a Padmashri Awardee and his son Abhay Sopori. In addition, the Maestros will be also be accompanied by Tabla Maestros Ustad Akram Khan and Ustad Rafiuddin Sabri, promising a two-day grand affair for one and all to witness.

On Day 1, the prestigious ‘UMAK Festival’ will feature an orchestral ensemble and dance presentation by the students of UMAK Centre for Culture. This will be followed by a sitar recital by the Sitar Maestro Pandit Debu Chaudhuri.
Day 2 will be another Grand affair featuring the famous sitarist of India Pandit Prateek Chaudhuri and a Santoor Jugalbandi Concert by the Internationally renowned Santoor Maestro Pandit Bhajan Sopri and his son Abhay Sopori. The event celebrates the 103 birth anniversary of the legendary Sitar maestro Ustad Mushtaq Ali Khan and the 79 birthday of Sitar maestro Pandit Debu Chaudhiri.
