TV presenter Jimmy Kimmel says he is not excited about hosting this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards. The 48-year-old ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ star, who previously hosted the Emmys in 2012, spoke on TV personality Howard Stern’s chat show about the upcoming awards and said it is far more stressful and difficult than doing his own 20-minute show.
“I wouldn’t say I am excited about that or anything. Wrangling everybody is very difficult, it’s difficult because you really only have three or four minutes to do your monologue, you have to make sure your material is strong whereas when you are going on and doing 20 minutes at night, you have peaks and valleys,” Kimmel said.
The presenter believes while hosting a big event everything has to be specific which is the main issue, reported The Wrap. “Here, everything has to be precise, that’s kind of a pain. You have to have a lot of back up options and sometimes it winds up completely different from the way it started.” The 68th Primetime Emmy Awards will air live on September 18.
