Not compromised with NH10 story for certification: Anushka Sharma

Actress-producer Anushka Sharma feels relieved that her co-production NH10 didn’t have to suffer much over cuss words and has been cleared with few audio cuts and one visual cut by Censor Board.
She asserts that despite an ‘A’ certificate to the film, they have not compromised with the film’s
story.

“We don’t want to compromise with our film. We have got an ‘A’ certificate, one visual cut and few audio cuts, which we have accepted,” Anushka said here Wednesday during the launch of Spring Summer collection inspired by the film NH10.

“As far as we could, we have not compromised with the story, with what we are trying to show to the audiences. Somewhere we are happy with whatever has happened,” she added. Recently, Central Board of Film Certification issued a controversial diktat blacklisting ‘offensive’ words from Indian films. The decision has left many Bollywood celebrities in shock and disagreement. However, this list has been taken back by Censor Board and the decision is being reviewed.

The 26-year-old further feels the films should have only certifications because  ‘it is upto individual discussion whether you want to watch the film or not’.

Directed by Navdeep Singh, NH10 is about a couple’s roadtrip that gets transformed into a nightmare.
