None of the suspended officers was my OSD, clarifies Sisodia

The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Najeeb Jung suspended two DANICS officials and recommended suspension of another for alleged irregularities in a land deal of Delhi Urban  Shelter Improvement Board(DUSIB) with a private individual.

It was a buzz in media that the accused was Navelendra Kumar Singh, the former OSD to deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and another official suspended for allegedly handing over land meant for DUSIB to a private party.

However, Sisodia tweeted: “Those, who are spreading news that OSD to Deputy Chief Minister suspended by L-G, it should check facts, none of the officials being named as is working as my OSD”.
Singh, currently posted as ADM (South/East),and SDM (Model Town) Amit Kumar Pamasi have been placed under suspension. Also, ADM (North) K C Surendra has been “recommended to be placed under suspension by the Union Home Ministry”.

The sources said Singh had allegedly passed an illegal order to hand over land acquired in a village for DUSIB to a private individual. Sources in the government said an inquiry was conducted in the matter and the Chief Secretary submitted a report to the Raj Niwas.

“The action has been taken after the report was submitted by the Chief Secretary,” said a senior official.
