Carpets and floorings are an integral part of Indian homes and the history of Indian carpets features its development using mats and durries with a variety of material, ranging from wool, cotton, jute, coir, bamboo and grass.
History of Indian carpets, especially those of the woolen carpets traces to a period as early as 500 B.C. One of the finest Indian luxury brands, The Home of the Traveller curated by JJ Valaya showcases a unique private, thirty year old collection of 27 beautiful carpets and textiles from the Caucasus to Samarkand. JJ Valaya, as you know it, is a noted Indian fashion designer and couturier from New Delhi.
The carpets showcased at Sultanpur are crafted from wool. and are available in interesting  colour combinations that include oxidized red, green, blue, brown, white, beige, indigo, and yellow. If not to buy the awesomely priced carpets, you may just want to take a look at the work.
