Noida gears up for Shilpotsav

Noida is gearing up to organise Shilpotsav, the annual art, craft and trade fair, which is receiving tremendous response since the last four years.
The theme of the festival this year would be tourism. Besides, stalls of art, craft and trade from various national and international groups the festival will also host cultural activities including performance by regional and Bollywood stars.

‘The Shilpotsav would have 300 stalls which will be allotted on first come first serve basis. The entire campus would be under CCTV surveillance and metal detectors would be installed at gates for security checks,’ said Rama Raman, chief executive officer (CEO) of Noida.

The CEO chaired a high-level meeting on Tuesday to finalise the theme and assigned jobs to senior officer to step up preparations for the festival. The additional CEO of the authority Vijay Kumar Yadav has been appointed as in-charge of the festival.
The festival, which will go on from 24 October to 2 November, will be organised at Noida stadium in sector 21 and layout will be same as in 2011 informed CEO.
