No stone to be left unturned to solve Naxalism issue: Rajnath

Spelling out the NDA government’s political will to resolve country’s vexed security problems, home minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday said no stone will be left unturned to find a solution to issues like Naxalism and insurgency.

After reviewing the operational preparedness of the country’s largest paramilitary force CRPF here, the Home Minister charted out the new government’s resolve to end the violence perpetrated by Left wing Extremists, insurgents and militants and also boosting the morale of troops, official sources said on Thursday.

The home minister, according to sources, said it was his personal view that if all states and the central government have the political will, the problem of Naxalism can be tackled.
Singh assured the force, an official statement said, the demand ‘for higher allowances in the LWE areas would be considered on priority.

‘He said he will take up these issues with the Ministry of Finance and the MHA will support these issues,’ the statement said. The home minister, who spent close to one and half hours at the Central Reserve Police Force headquarters here, said the mome ministry will engage with the telecom department to expedite the process of installing mobile towers in LWE areas.
The force, led by Director General Dilip Trivedi, gave a presentation to the minister involving all the theatres is is deployed in.

‘We also shared with the home minister some of the difficulties we are facing. He assured he would help us as he considers himself to be one amongst us,’ Trivedi said.
The home minister also asked CRPF officers to work as a ‘well coordinated team’ as he assured full cooperation from his ministry for them.
