No proposal to shift DU colleges to other university: Sisodia

Rubbishing reports of a few Delhi University colleges being shifted to Ambedkar University, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said the government is not considering any such proposal.

“Completely baseless rumours being spread by vested interests abt some colleges to be shifted <g data-gr-id="14">fm</g> DU to any other varsity. NO such proposal,” Sisodia, said in a tweet.

Sisodia’s tweet comes in the wake of a few media reports citing a proposal that 12 DU colleges funded by the government will be shifted under Ambedkar University soon and the varsity will take over the administrative control of 16 partially-funded colleges.

“Our government is committed to <g data-gr-id="12">respect</g> the autonomy of educational institutions,” Sisodia said in another tweet.
