‘No honest introspection for Cong’

On the first day of Congress party's 'Chintar Shivir' at Jaipur, the principal opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday mocked the ruling party for not having enough confidence to come back to power in 2014 on its own.

'For a national party, prior to an election year to start a review saying they may not be able to come back to power on its own, is very good for the opposition party,' said BJP spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman.

The BJP also criticised the  Congress for running away from an honest introspection about its failures instead have been patting their own back about their  actions despite not meeting even doable targets set by it.

'In fact, they have even gone to the other extreme in that it is a self-certification about excellent growth which the country has seen in the last eight-nine years.  This self-certification goes also with the admission that giving one crore jobs is a challenge,' said Sitharaman. The BJP leader added that the party failed to acknowledge that the government lacks leadership, lacks integrity and certainly lacks direction.
