NLC’s quarterly profit up 37%

Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) on Friday reported a 36.8 per cent rise in standalone net profit at Rs 676.81 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015. The company’s standalone net profit in the year-ago period was Rs 494.43 crore, NLC said in a regulatory filing.

The total income from operations declined to Rs 1,682.09 crore from Rs 1,709.89 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY 2014, it said. The consolidated net profit for the full fiscal ended March 31. 205 increased to Rs 1,579.68 crore, as against Rs 1,501.88 crore in the <g data-gr-id="13">year-ended</g> March 31, 2014.

The total income from operations for the <g data-gr-id="16">year-ended</g> March 31, 2015 increased to Rs 6,087.68 crore, over Rs 5,967.23 crore in the <g data-gr-id="17">year-ended</g> March 31, 2014. However, the company did not provide its consolidated quarterly results. The company further said the board of directors have recommended <g data-gr-id="15">final</g> dividend of Rs 1.80 per share for the year-ended March 31, 2015 subject to the approval of shareholders.
