Nitish’s support to demonetisation personal; alliance against move: RJD

Following Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s endorsement of the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes, RJD’s Raghuvansh Prasad Singh on Saturday said that the RJD-JD(U) alliance does not support the move at all.

“This was CM’s personal opinion, the alliance has not supported the demonetisation move,” Singh said.  Kumar had favoured demonetisation of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 notes and sought “action against benami property”, even as he slammed the Centre for “not doing its homework” before taking the step.
