Nitish is Bihar CM due to Lalu: Amar
Speaking in the tone and tenor of Shahabuddin, Singh on Saturday said that Kumar is Chief Minister of Bihar due to RJD chief Lalu Prasad.
“It is a greatness of Lalu Prasad that he has made Nitish Kumar, who had sent him to jail, Chief Minister of Bihar,” Singh told the mediapersons in Patna. “Nitish Kumar’s chair of chief ministership is fully dependent on the support of Lalu Prasad,” Sing said while describing his party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav as “Sher of Uttar Pradesh” (lion of UP).
“In UP, neither Lalu Prasad nor Nitish Kumar enjoy any social support base. In UP, Mulayam Singh Yadav is a lion”, Singh said in reply to a question that JD(U) and RJD would make a dent into SP’s votebank.
Singh also said that Nitish Kumar may go against Mulayam Singh Yadav in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly polls but Lalu will support him.
Soon after his release on September 11, Shahabuddin had professed his loyalty to Lalu Prasad, while making it clear that Nitish Kumar might be the chief minister but he was not his leader. “Everyone knows whom I have been with all these years, and whom I will remain with. Nitish Kumar paristhitiyon ke neta hai (a leader born out of circumstances),” he had said.
