Nitish, Ananth, Prasad pay rich tributes to JP

Paying rich tributes to Jayprakash Narayan, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday said the message of “total revolution” given by ‘Loknayak’ to fight the society’s evils holds its relevance even in modern times.

“Loknayak Jayprakash Narayan had given a call for total revolution in 1974 to fight social discrimination and other ills gripping the society which holds relevance even today,” he told reporters outside Charkha Samiti premises after paying tributes to JP on his 114th anniversary.

“We always make efforts to promote togetherness in the society and try to bring the deprived into the mainstream,” Kumar, who played an important role in the 1974 movement led by Loknayak, said.
