NIT Srinagar announces revised exam schedule

The national Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar on Monday announced a revised schedule of examinations for outstation students, who had skipped the tests early this month in the wake of trouble, following clashes over India’s defeat to the West Indies in the T20 World cup on March 31. In an order posted on its website, the NIT administration said the Minor-I examination of those students who missed it will be conducted from May 5 to 8.

Hundreds of out-station students had skipped the exams, after which the Centre had assured them that it would provide them revised dates for appearing in the tests. The NIT administration has announced that normal class work would resume from April 25.
