Nissan India registers domestic sale of 3,574 cars

Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL) registered domestic sales of 3,574 units for September 2012, a growth of 2176 units up compared to last year. Nissan’s Chennai-built products – the Sunny sedan and Micra compact hatchback - continued their strong performance registering cumulative sales of 3567 in September.

Besides Nissan’s recently-launched and third home-grown model, the all-new multi-utility Evalia, making  made a brisk start by already registering 160 bookings, the Teana luxury sedan, X-Trail SUV and cult sports car 370Z comprised the remaining sales of what was yet another successful sales month for Nissan in India.

Commenting on the performance, Ishida Takayuki, NMIPL Managing Director said the company is continuing to witness an increasing demand for Sunny and Micra with both models now firmly positioned within their respective segments. The launch of Evalia highlighted delivery of the company’s commitment to expand its line-up in India and offer customers even greater choice, he said, expressing confidence that with its strengthening model range, supported by a robust customer value proposition, Nissan is likely to enjoy another highly successful year in India.
