NIC to present its second report to Prez today

The National Innovation Council (NIC), which has been set up to promote new ideas for inclusive development, will present its second annual report to President Pranab Mukherjee on Friday. The ‘Report to the People’ will be presented to the President by NIC chairman Sam Pitroda, a statement from Rashtrapati Bhavan said. The NIC was set up by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in 2010 to spur innovation in key economic sectors with a focus on inclusive growth in keeping with the government’s commitment of turning 2010-2020 into a ‘Decade of Innovation’.
