NIC to award govt depts for e-governance initiatives

National Informatics Centre (NIC) will felicitate government departments that have done exemplary work and made innovations in e-governance initiatives on web-based platform or Internet. “Web Ratna Awards have played a pivotal role in promoting use of world wide web platform as an effective tool for e-governance whereas at the same time it has also encouraged numerous departments to take up and replicate innovations,” an official statement said.
