NHRC issues notice to govt over reports of clashes among students

The National Human Rights Commission has issued notice to Delhi government and Delhi Police over reports that three students severely beat and sodomized a fellow student in the backyard of their school in Fatehpur Beri, South Delhi on the September 2. 

The alleged perpetrators and the victim were the students of 9th class in the 
<g data-gr-id="12">government run</g> school in the area. The medical examination of the victim also confirmed the incident.

The Commission has observed that the incident raises a serious issue of violation of human rights of the victim. Accordingly, it has issued notices to the Secretary, Department of Education, Delhi and Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Delhi calling for reports within two weeks. 

The accused boys had a quarrel with the victim two months back. On September 2, they called the victim out of the class and took him to the backyard beating all the way. Reportedly, they took off his clothes and on being resisted, beat him so severely with sticks that he was left almost unconscious, before sodomising him.
