Neha, Malaika like well-groomed men

Shaving, scruffy face or beard does make a difference and today’s preference is more for the clean-shaven look, according to Bollywood hotties Neha Dhupia and Malaika Arora Khan.

Asked if love was blind, Dhupia retorted: ‘Love is blind but not that much where I am concerned. I have not fallen in love too many times but those that I have liked were all clean shaven or well groomed.’

‘Lots of men assume that women like men with a stubble. But we did a survey that showed women like men who shave,’ she said. What about the idea that mothers like scruffy sons? ‘No. The mother will ask ‘Beta, tabiyat kharab hai kya?’’

Dhupia said she had observed that men who have not shaved had a certain grainyness on their face. ‘It may happen in the morning (being unshaved) but if he does not have time to shave, I don’t like him — even if he appears out of a 007 film,’ she replied.

Malaika Arora Khan said that the man in her life is clean shaven and particular about his looks. ‘I do not have anything against men not shaving though, as there are lots of women who like their men with a (hairy) stubble on their faces. But we (women) do feel special if our men shave.’

The Bollywood beauties said that if women spend time grooming themselves for their men in the evening, then men too should do the same for their partners. Describing evening stubble as a big disappointment for women, Malaika said she believes clean-shaven men are more romantic.
