NDMC should give high-tech services to its citizens: MoS Home Affairs

In order to revamp the New Delhi area by transforming traditional work culture into a high-tech one in order to improve the quality of life of the citizens, the Minister of State for Home Affairs Hansraj Gangaram Ahir said that the New Delhi Municipal Council should extend high-tech quality civic services to its citizen. The union minister was speaking after inaugurating the Zonal Service Centre of NDMC at Connaught Place on Friday. 

“Since New Delhi is the seat of the government of India and the legislative and judiciary are housed here, it is the responsibility of the civic body to provide facilities to make New Delhi a role model for the other civic bodies of the country,” he said.

On the Occasion, Member of Parliament Meenakashi Lekhi said that facilities to the people and interaction, adjudged the performance of the civic body, so the NDMC should maintain easy way and a hurdle-free route or channel for extending services to the citizen.

Chairman, NDMC, Naresh Kumar said that in order to cater to the need of the public and efficiently monitor its service delivery, NDMC is divided into 14 circles.
