NDMC hospitals to provide smart healthcare

Chairman of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), Naresh Kumar, on Monday announced to kick-off an efficient and effective e-Health system in its hospitals and dispensaries. The move aims  to provide ‘Smart Healthcare Services’ to patients visiting NDMC hospitals/ dispensaries.

“The Council, in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre (NIC), is all set to introduce cloud-based e-hospital management information system – the first-of-its-kind in the country in a government setup. In order to make healthcare delivery more efficient, the software comprises modules such as patient registration, billing and account, laboratory, radiology, admission, discharge and transfer, operation theatre management, birth/ death registration, certificate and communication system,” the chairman said.

He added an additional block of Charak Palika Hospital, equipped with all modern facilities and two state-of-the-art operation theatres, would be constructed at a cost of Rs 7 crore within one year.
