NDMC hikes water tariff

 Those residing or running commercial establishments in NDMC areas will now have to shell out more money to avail water facility, with the civic body deciding to raise the tariff. The revised tariff will come into force with effect from September 1 and will be reflected in the bills issued in the month of October onwards. “We have revised the water tariff in three categories — domestic, mixed use and commercial. The consumers of <g data-gr-id="11">domestic</g> category will also pay the sewerage maintenance charge 60 per cent of water volumetric charge,” NDMC spokesperson Jagjivan Bakshi said.
