NDMC gardeners to go abroad

Aiming to provide with modern tools and equipment to improve the efficiency of the Horticulture Department at par with the international standards, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has announced to impart one week’s training to its gardeners through international institutions. And to this effect, a contingent of gardeners of the Council will visit South Korea and China for International exposure in horticulture field in near future. 

The announcement to this effect was made by Chairman Naresh Kumar while speaking after flagging off Stainless Steel Water Trolleys having facility to wash roadside trees. “In order to upkeep and makeover the green lungs of New Delhi area to be the global benchmark for a Capital city, the NDMC has procured 10 Stainless Steel Water Trolleys having 6,500 litre water capacity of each having pumps for irrigating and washing of the trees, plants and shrubs,” he said. The Chairman said that the trolleys will cater to the needs of 1,450 acre of green area including major avenues, roundabouts besides green cover and nurseries in its area.
