NDMC disconnects 230 water, electricity connections
The New Delhi Municipal Council has disconnected electricity and water connections of 230 properties in its areas for alleged non-payment of dues.
“The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has disconnected electricity and water supply connections of 230 premises in areas under its jurisdiction.
“The action has been taken due to non-payment of dues,” NDMC spokesperson Jagjivan Bakshi said.
Earlier, the civic body had issued notices to 1,927 defaulters who had not paid their electricity and water dues since the last six months.
“Out of the defaulters, 403 consumers have cleared their dues so far,” the official said.
